This website is designed to provide accurate, timely information about Harnett County’s proposed new health system.
The Harnett Health System is a locally owned, locally controlled, locally governed, not-for-profit health system including Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn, N.C. and a new, 50-bed, full-service hospital to be built in Lillington, N.C. The two hospitals will operate as separate branches under one umbrella organization.
WakeMed Health & Hospitals, one of the best run health care systems in the nation, will provide management services for the Harnett Health System. WakeMed has a proven track record in health care delivery and a longstanding relationship with Harnett County, having served its citizens for generations.
